The pandemic has forced us to take a different perspective of life. It has made the world to seek out for new innovative ways right from online education to online weddings. The rising levels of inflation, unemployment and health risks are another causes of worry associated with the pandemic.
To feed the ever increasing population, we need to harness economical and healthy food resources. One such resource is definitely Palm oil.The reason behind it is simple, the trees from which palm oil is extracted are evergreen and perennial. They can produce oil all the year round.
Moreover, there are not many viable options to red palm oil and is still the most cost effective oil and also a major source of income for developing countries.
No wonder,Malaysian Red Palm Oil has generated a lot of buzz both for its benefits and the controversy surrounding it.It has garnered immense interest as it is one of richest sources of vital nutrients. Furthermore, it has been the centre of huge debates concerning the impact of its production on the environment.

The event was headed by Bhavana Shah Ma'am, Country Head (India),of MPOC. Just writing Palm Oil - I truly feel that incorporating Malaysian Red Palm Oil in the food not only improve the taste but also your health.
So, Why Should you Malaysian Red Palm Oil?
Malaysian Red Palm oil is not only economical but is also enriched with natural preservative qualities.
But the rising concern for deforestation due to the production of red palm oil ,made me a little apprehensive.
However, if talking about the impact of deforestation one cannot ignore the huge impacts of soy plantations, timber, cattle production for beef products on the forest etc.
Besides, that looking out for an alternative oil might require lot of time and 10 times more land.
The technical utility of Malaysian Red Palm oil comes from its high melting point. As palm oil is semi-solid at room temperature, it has numerous uses from frying to baking products and even spreads. Although animal fats are also enriched with this quality, they are expensive both on the pocket and the environment as mentioned earlier.
Having said that ,it is also crucial to become a well informed customer rather than falling prey to marketing tactics. As they say "all that glitters is not gold".Inorder to address my doubts,I decided to attend the online event organised by MPOC.

I was appalled to know how marketing tactics are trying to create an atmosphere to suppress the production of this oil which is one of the richest sources of Vitamin A. The use of this oil in the food can help in eliminating Vitamin A deficiency and the diseases associated with its deficiency. Since, palm oil is rich in carotenoids
,it can assist to improve the health of large number of poor children and women from underdeveloped countries.
I truly feel that incorporating Malaysian Red Palm Oil in the food not only improve the taste but also your health.
